Accent Windows: a new website to increase leads and conversions.

Accent manufactures and installs aluminium windows and doors across Melbourne. Its website had fallen behind the business, so we rebuilt it around the user experience, with the product range and points of difference easy to find.

The challenge

What needed to change.

Accent’s former website was behind the times and underperforming. It was not bringing in enough leads, and too many of the enquiries it did produce were poor leads. Increasing leads and conversions was going to take a complete overhaul rather than a refresh.

Accent’s business is manufacturing and installing aluminium windows and doors across Melbourne, and the website had to represent that range properly.

The branding had been updated, and the website needed to match it. More than that, the information a customer needs to choose a window and door supplier, the relevant details, Accent’s points of difference and its key messages, had to be clearly accessible rather than buried.

The old website made visitors work to understand what Accent offered and why it was different, and the enquiries reflected that. The new one had to do the explaining before anyone picked up the phone.

Approach

How the work took shape.

We put UX at the forefront. Rather than starting with a look and fitting the content into it, we started with what a visitor needs to know and how quickly they need to find it, then designed around that. The product range would be presented clearly and supported by professional imagery, because for windows and doors the product has to be seen to be sold.

We created a slick new look that made the website stand out, with Accent’s updated branding carried through every page. By making information easier to access, the experience was designed to help readers understand the offering, see the points of difference for themselves and arrive at the enquiry form already knowing that Accent was the right fit, which is what produces stronger quality enquiries.

The shift

When the website explains the product properly, the wrong enquiries stop and the right ones increase.
