Daily Orders makes organisational planners that are as colourful as they are efficient, and the business runs on the same principle of working smarter. Its previous social media campaigns, run through another agency, were underperforming. Daily Orders wanted an agency that would look after its media spend properly and make every part of the budget count, on a return the business could see.

Daily Orders: effective marketing for organisational planners.
Their previous campaigns through another agency were underperforming, so we were enlisted to drive brand awareness and sales across social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

The challenge
What needed to change.
The audience is specific. Daily Orders sells mostly to mums and teachers, two groups whose timing, language and buying triggers are easy for generic retail advertising to miss. Reaching them meant knowing when they buy, how they talk about the product and what prompts a purchase, and an ad that speaks to everyone speaks to neither of them.
Any campaign we ran had to start from a deep understanding of that market and the kind of ads it would respond to. It also had to earn its place: the brief was brand awareness and sales across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, with the return on that spend the only measure that mattered.
Approach
How the work took shape.
Because the planners are so visual, showing them properly was essential. Rather than rely on supplied product shots, our in-house photographer carried out a shoot to build a library of content for social media and the wider visual presence, so there was always fresh creative to draw on.
The client’s own view of the result is the clearest summary of why the approach worked. “If anyone is considering working with Emote Digital, I would highly recommend them. My previous agency struggled to achieve a 5x ROI and these guys have smashed it consistently. Thank you.” Kelly, Owner, Daily Orders.
We ran the campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn under one media plan. Instead of giving each platform its own fixed allowance, the budget was managed against the overall return, so spend moved to wherever mums and teachers were responding best at the time.
That flexibility mattered because the two audiences behave differently across the year and across platforms. Managing the plan as a whole meant no channel was starved when it was working and none was fed when it was not, and the creative from the photography shoot could be matched to each platform without producing it from scratch every time.
The shift
Mums and teachers do not respond to generic retail advertising, so we stopped making it.
