Titanium Caravans: a bold caravan website makeover.

Titanium Caravans builds premium off-road caravans, but a website that had not been updated for years was letting the business down. The brief was a new look on the existing structure, delivered quickly.

The challenge

What needed to change.

Titanium Caravans are market leaders in building premium off-road caravans, and the website no longer reflected that. It had not been refreshed in years, the branding had moved on and the product had moved on with it, so the first impression online was out of step with the caravans themselves.

Changing the structure was outside of scope, so the work had to happen within the existing limitations of the website. Just like a home renovation, the face of the website needed re-imagining while all the major structures stayed intact, and it needed doing quickly.

Approach

How the work took shape.

We decided to treat the project as a renovation rather than a rebuild. The existing WordPress website, its page structure and its hosting would all stay, which kept the timeline short and the risk low. The effort went instead into design: a new visual language that reflected the updated branding and premium products, applied consistently to every page.

Starting with the homepage gave the team at Titanium Caravans something concrete to react to early, and set the pattern for the rest of the website before any further pages were touched.

Mobile was part of the plan from the start rather than a final check. With the structure fixed, the design had to work at every screen size, so responsive elements were designed specifically for mobile rather than left to fall into place.

The aim was that a customer researching a premium off-road caravan on their phone would get the same impression of quality as one browsing on a desktop, and would find their way through the existing pages without friction. Every decision was measured against a single question, whether the website looked and felt like the caravans it sells.

The shift

Keeping the structure and changing the face put all the effort where customers would notice it.
