ORACLE INTEGRATION

Oracle integration
customers, orders and campaigns
connected to the Oracle applications.

We connect websites and online stores to the Oracle applications a business runs, whether that is the customer engagement cloud, Oracle ERP or both, so customers, orders, consent and campaign data move between the website and Oracle as they happen. We plan the data that should move, build the connection on the platform the website already runs on and keep it running once it is live.

In brief

Emote Digital is a digital agency in Hawthorn, Melbourne, founded in 2001. We connect websites and eCommerce stores to Oracle applications, including Oracle Eloqua and Responsys for customer engagement, Oracle Sales and Service and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, so contacts, consent, orders, customers and campaign responses move between the website and Oracle without manual entry. Connections are built on the platform the website already runs on. An Oracle customer engagement platform was selected as part of the Haymes Paint website redesign on this website.

The integration

Enterprise applications, fed by the website.

Oracle suits larger organisations that run marketing, sales, service or finance on Oracle Cloud applications and need the website to be a source for them. The Haymes Paint redesign scoped and selected an Oracle customer engagement platform alongside the new website.

01

What moves between them

Contacts, consent and preferences into Eloqua or Responsys, leads and service requests into Sales and Service, customers, orders and invoices into Fusion ERP, and campaign responses, account status and order status back to the website where they are useful. Each record has an agreed owner.

02

Engagement, ERP or both

The customer engagement applications carry contacts, campaigns and journeys. The ERP carries customers, items, orders and invoices. Many organisations run several, so the integration is designed around the record each application owns.

03

Built on your platform

The connection is built on the platform the website already runs on, using Oracle Integration Cloud or a proven connector where one fits and custom integrations against the Oracle REST APIs where the rules are particular to the organisation.

What we do

Oracle integration scoping, build and support.

A connected set of decisions, shaped around the way work moves through the business.

01

Integration scoping

Map the contact, consent, lead, order and campaign events that should move, and agree which Oracle application owns each record.

02

Contact and consent sync

Send form submissions, preferences and consent to Eloqua or Responsys with their source, and honour unsubscribes everywhere.

03

Customer and order flow

Send customers and orders to the ERP and return invoice, shipment and account status to the website.

04

Campaign and personalisation data

Return segments, campaign membership and responses to the website where the experience should change with them.

05

Testing and reconciliation

Run real enquiry, consent and order scenarios end to end and check Oracle and the website agree before launch.

06

Monitoring and support

Watch the sync, handle API limits and failed records, and keep the connection working through Oracle quarterly updates and platform releases.

Buyer context

Why organisations connect Oracle to the website.

A Oracle integration has to suit the people, systems and operating conditions around it.

Oracle environments differ widely in which applications are licensed, how they are configured and whether Oracle Integration Cloud is in place. We help determine where a standard connector is enough and where a custom integration earns its place.

Keep the enterprise in Oracle. Keep the capture on the website.

The value of an Oracle integration is not in moving every field. We define the records that marketing, sales, service and finance rely on, move them cleanly with their source attached, and leave Oracle to run the enterprise and the website to capture and serve.

Takeover and improvement

Already connected to Oracle?

We can assess the current connector or integration flows, object and field mapping, consent handling, where records fail and how the sync is monitored. We can help identify what is working, what is creating double handling and which changes deserve priority.

Talk to us

Connecting Oracle? Talk it through with us.

Thirty minutes on the applications, the records and what it would take to connect or fix the sync.

Approach

Six steps from understanding to improvement.

Formal Discovery may be appropriate for several Oracle applications in scope, multiple brands or regions, complex consent requirements or a connection that also involves a separate CRM or commerce platform.

01

Understand

Establish which Oracle applications are in use, how contacts, consent, enquiries and orders are handled today and which other systems touch the same records. Any existing connector or flows are reviewed so their gaps and habits are understood before planning.

02

Plan

Define the events that create or update records, which application owns each, the field mapping, consent handling, identifiers and what returns to the website. Integration Cloud, connector or custom build is agreed first.

03

Design

Design the forms, preference centre, account and checkout experience around the Oracle data so marketing, sales, service and finance each receive what they need and customers see the right status.

04

Develop and connect

Configure the flows or connector, or build against the Oracle REST APIs, including authentication, queuing and retries. Mapping and rules are documented so the connection remains easy for the team to understand and for us to support.

05

Test and launch

Run the real scenarios end to end: new and known contacts, consent changes, enquiries, orders and status updates. Record counts are reconciled before the sync is switched on for live traffic.

06

Support and improve

Monitor the sync after launch, clear failed records, handle quarterly Oracle updates and keep the connection working through website and platform changes. Improvements follow what the teams find in daily use.

Questions

Oracle integration questions, answered.

Oracle Eloqua and Responsys for contacts, consent and campaigns, Oracle Sales and Service for leads and service requests, and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP for customers, orders and invoices. Many organisations connect more than one.

It can. Submissions and orders go to Oracle, and campaign membership, account status, invoice and shipment status can return to the website so customers and staff see the same picture.

Consent is captured with a clear statement, recorded with its source and timestamp and passed to the engagement application, and unsubscribes flow back to the website, in line with Australian spam rules.

We are platform agnostic. The connection is built on whatever the website already runs on, using Oracle Integration Cloud or a proven connector where they fit and building against the Oracle REST APIs where they do not.

Yes. We often build the website side of the integration while the Oracle partner configures the application, working to one agreed data contract.

Yes. We review the flows or connector, mapping and failure handling, fix what is causing double handling or lost records and rebuild the parts that cannot meet the rules of the organisation.
