Belgravia Kids: a digital marketing launch for gym and swim classes.

In order to shorten the user journey, we created lead forms for the ads. The lead forms feed into BK’s internal customer management system, making it not only quick and easy for parents to express interest, but also for BK to manage their leads.

The challenge

What needed to change.

Belgravia Kids runs gym and swim classes for children across five centres. Its customers are parents, and they live close to the centre their children attend, so the classes only need to be known within a short drive of each location. The brief was a digital marketing launch that would bring in a steady flow of enquiries from exactly those families, at the moment they were looking for a class, and make it simple for them to register interest.

Every enquiry also had to be easy for the team to manage, because a form a parent fills in is only useful if someone follows it up quickly.

Approach

How the work took shape.

Belgravia Kids knew its audience would be parents near each location, so everything was built around proximity. We worked with the team to create a social media strategy aimed at the immediate areas around the BK centres, with content and offers tied to specific classes and promotions rather than the brand in general. A parent in one suburb saw the classes and promotions available at their own centre, not a generic message for the whole business.

Search engine advertising captured demand as it appeared. We targeted searches made in the immediate areas around the five locations so that a parent typing “children’s swim class near me” or something similar would be served the nearest Belgravia Kids centre. Display remarketing ran alongside search to keep the brand in view during the consideration period and to encourage parents to return to the website when they were ready.

To keep the path from ad to enquiry short, parents could register interest without leaving the ad, and each enquiry landed directly with the BK team for follow up.

The shift

Parents were not searching for a brand but for the nearest pool, so every ad pointed to one centre.
