Case study  | Haymes Paint | Website

A vibrant new design for a true blue Australian paint icon

It’s a bold idea to give a famous paint brand a new website design. Since 1935, Haymes Paint has grown to become the country’s largest Australian-owned and Australian-made paint brand. In 2019/20, the company embarked on an exciting growth strategy establishing a franchise group, opening 6 new Melb metro stores and further store acquisitions and openings. Our highly-skilled team was enlisted to provide a full redesign of the Haymes Paint website to deliver better customer engagement and increased sales.

The Challenge

To meet growth targets and make the user experience more enjoyable and efficient, wide ranging changes were required of the multi-faceted website. To realise the new corporate ambitions, the decision was to scope and define a suitable Customer Engagement Platform with the Oracle platform becoming the final choice. Thankfully, our team thrives on providing a methodical approach to a range of complex tasks like these.

Extensive Range of Color Choices on Haymes Paint Website

The Approach

The redesign needed to take into consideration each of the Haymes Paint customer segments (Retail, Trade & Specifiers) to cover all user experiences. The excitement and realignment of the brand’s focus was reflected in everything from the IA and wireframe prototyping, to the visual concept, design and a seamless transition between Oracle modules.

The Outcome

More than 50 pages have been specially designed for both Desktop and Mobile. The focus remains on additional improvements and refining elements to add value to ensure the best interactive and responsive outcomes. The result is a website that offers the chance to explore colours, browse the quality products and find inspiration.
