Shop-fitting website design case study: Dinya Designs
Dinya Designs has spent over a decade helping businesses across Australia and beyond – bring their retail spaces to life. From boutique stores to large commercial spaces, they’ve evolved from a supplier of shopfitting products into a trusted partner for custom shopfitting and storage solutions.
Their commitment goes beyond just selling fixtures – Dinya values relationships over profit, priding themselves on collaboration, creativity, and quality. But while their service was personal and hands-on, their website didn’t reflect that energy or innovation. It was time to change that.
The Challenge
Dinya’s old website wasn’t keeping up with the business they’d become. It didn’t highlight their full product range or showcase the creative possibilities they offer to customers.
The experience felt flat – it wasn’t inspiring users to imagine their own spaces or discover complementary products. On the backend, managing listings and integrations with systems like QuickBooks or eBay was manual and time-consuming.
The challenge was to create a website that captured their brand personality, simplified operations, and offered customers a shopping experience as dynamic as walking through a real showroom.
The Approach
We kicked off with a deep discovery and mapping phase to truly understand Dinya’s customers and how they shop. Together, we ran through every scenario – from the casual browser looking for ideas to the professional buyer ordering in bulk – and built user journeys that put both inspiration and usability at the forefront.
From there, we designed a fresh, intuitive website that feels like a real retail experience online. The layout invites exploration, with visual cues and prompts that encourage customers to discover more products and imagine new display ideas.
To support growth, we also focused on backend performance. Using ACF fields and a custom WordPress build, we gave the Dinya team control over products, pricing, and promotions. Combined with smart integrations and automation, the new system saves time, reduces manua.au/ecoml work, and keeps everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.
